Volunteer

We have volunteer opportunities of all kinds. If you're passionate about animals, responsible, and work well with others, please contact us. We're volunteer-driven, so there's room for people with ideas who are ready to make a difference.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• customer service, cat sitting, and dog walking at adoption events
• clerical, data entry, & record-keeping work
• general help at our foster pet Wellness Clinic
• minor medical treatment of foster pets at our Wellness Clinic (we can train you)

We also have various special seasonal events (food drives, pet pics with Santa, yard sales, microchip clinics, etc). And if you have an idea for improvement or want to help benefit the animals with a special event (for example, a pet food drive or internship or school project), contact us! At times, the work is hard- but it is so worth it.

Foster a Pet: Save a Life Today

Foster a pet. It's rewarding, fun, at times heartbreaking, frustrating, and bittersweet. When you foster, you open up your home to pets in need, animals who most of the time would be euthanized and never make it out of shelters. You are the bridge between the shelter and a forever home. Our foster pets are treated medically at the Humane Society's expense; foster homes are responsible for food, general care, transport to vet visits, and transport to adoption events.
